Tile painting

This individual activity involved glazing and painting a tile in a creative way. The children sketched a drawing of their choice on a piece of paper (Figure 1) and transferred it to the tile.

A white glazing was applied over the surface and the motif was hand brush painted using a variety of ceramic dyes  (Figure 2).

After cooking, the tiles were returned to the participants.
